I create murals and public art projects that celebrate the unique identity, history, and landscapes of the communities they serve. My current work includes collaborations with the NYM Cultural Center, the City of Wadena, and business owners throughout Minnesota that are interested in developing murals, public installations, and cultural storytelling projects for our rural communities.
Many of these projects draw inspiration from the Finn Triangle region, highlighting its Finnish heritage, natural beauty, and strong connection to the forests and lakes of northern Minnesota. I am deeply influenced by Finnish art and design traditions, particularly their emphasis on simplicity, connection to nature, craftsmanship, and thoughtful public spaces.
I am also developing concepts for a mural trail and other public art initiatives designed to create vibrant gathering places, support tourism, and foster community pride. Whether through murals, sculpture, or interactive installations, my goal is to create meaningful artwork that strengthens a sense of place and helps communities share their stories.
